Officers refusing orders will make it hard to have a war

But, I don't think this will make much difference in the short term.

  1. Didn't we cover this in "A Few Good Men?"

Soldiers really don't have the option as to which orders they follow and which they don't - do they?

Yes, I know that the war in Iraq is bad. It is wrong and it is going badly. But still...

Soldiers can't disobey orders, can they?

  2. The Chuck-tucker's right. It used to be in the uniform code of military justice that, unless under fire, soldiers are *required* to disobey illegal orders.

For all I know, they' taken it out.
