DNA analysis is just pretty damned cool. Looking at prehistoric chicken DNA to determine if Polynesians came to South America from Easter Island is just -- way damned cool.
"Ancient Polynesians were great explorers, but tended to settle only in uninhabited islands.
"It seems that if they found other people, they would usually turn around and go home, she says."
Clearly, Polynesian culture was inferior to Europe’s – they hadn’t figured out that you’re supposed to steal the land, convert or slaughter (or both) the natives, and wipe out the native flora and fauna. How do they expect to conquer the world with this kind of attitude? :)
